The events and styles in the 70’s are quite unforgettable. The political issues of the time, flower power, advances in technology, and not to mention the fashion which appears to have resurfaced, are all quite iconic. Prior to gaining the title “First Lady of Rock,” Linda Ronstadt used to perform at the Troubadour nightclub in West Hollywood. The singer who is also known as the “Queen of Rock” had more than thirty gold or platinum albums and won ten Grammy’s! Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2012 which ultimately killed her illustrious musical career. A year after she was diagnosed with the disease, she published a memoir retelling her journey in the spotlight. It is called Simple Dreams: A Musical Memoir.

Goldie Hawn

Another star that stole our hearts in the 70’s is Goldie Hawn. She first rose to fame in Martin’s Laugh-In. She then moved on to many different roles. She appeared in movies like There’s a Girl in My Soup and Butterflies are Free. Her blockbuster films are The First Wives Club, Overboard, and Death Becomes Her. These movies established her acting career. Anna Faris, the star in the Overboard remake, said that Goldie Hawn is a fan of the said film. After her short break from the movies, she returned to the big screen in Snatched and appeared with Amy Schumer. The said movie was released in 2017.
