Snapping Out Of The Trance
Miller, like any other good pet owner, was concerned about Crosby. In desperation, he stroked the dog, which was the only time Crosby had snapped out of a trance-like state. “What is it, boy?” he asked the dog as he stared into those enormous eyes. Miller was just relieved to see that it was all right for Crosby. Maybe he’d been staring at a bug. It turned out to be even larger than that in the end!

There Was Something Off
For the rest of the night, Crosby,y after that moment, acted like his normal self. Miller woke up at midnight and went to the kitchen for a glass of water. When he walked past the living room, he noticed that the dog was back there! However, he could also say that something was distinct about this time. When he looked exactly at the same place on the living room wall, Crosby appeared even sadder.
