Henry was stunned by what he had just heard. Is that what his son said? He could feel the air tensing and couldn’t bring himself to look at his wife. They had just welcomed their new lovely daughter into the world, so there was no time for squabbles. But he wasn’t going to let this go… No, this wasn’t over…

Boy (8) Meets Newborn Sister After He Says This, Dad Files For Divorce
Couldn’t believe it
It was obvious that his family’s future was at stake. If his son’s words were accurate, he had no choice but to divorce his wife. Should he, however, simply believe what his little son says? There has to be a way to figure out what was going on. Yes, there was.

Couldn’t Believe It
Looking at her
Henry never looked at his wife the same way after that day. Deep down, he hoped that everything was just a massive misunderstanding, but the odds were stacked against him. He launched an investigation to discover the truth in the hopes of saving his family, but little did he realize, it was all for nothing.

Looking At Her
Divorcing her
Tommy’s father knew he had no choice but to divorce his wife and Tommy’s mother once he was certain of what Tommy had stated. He was aware of the devastation it would cause Tommy and his newborn, but so would a continued marriage! But what did Tommy have to say? Why was it so traumatic for his father, and what was Tommy’s mother keeping from him?

Divorcing Her
Suspicion
Despite the infinite delight that a new baby gives, Tommy’s father, Henry, became distracted with things other than his newborn daughter. Because Tommy’s welcome of his sister reinforced a long-held hunch about his wife, Andrea. Henry couldn’t help but be disgusted by his wife.

Suspicion
Needing evidence
But Henry was a wise man. He had long since learned as a local politician that there was nothing worse than leaping to conclusions, and he intended to gather proof against his wife first. But there was no time for it right now; she was still healing from childbirth. The first piece of proof, however, would not be far behind.

Needing Evidence
Next steps
After all of his new daughter’s examinations were completed and she appeared to be a very healthy girl, Henry could consider his next moves. He began by bringing Tommy home so he could finally rest after the long day of his younger sister’s birth. Henry now got the perfect opportunity to ask Tommy what he was on about just before…

Next Steps
In the car
The father and son shared a seat in the automobile. Henry wanted to question his son further about what he had said, so he began cautiously. ”Are you proud of your mother?” Tommy nodded assent, barely unable to speak due to exhaustion from the long night. “But you’re not always proud of Mommy, are you?” Henry slyly questioned.

In The Car
Not telling him
Tommy questioned his father, then glanced down at his feet. Tommy wanted to say something, but he didn’t.

Not Telling Him
Keeping Quiet
Henry advised his son to always be truthful, but Tommy bit his tongue and promptly fell asleep. This couldn’t possibly work… Henry required a new plan.

Keeping Quiet
Doctor calling
Although Henry was exhausted and could sleep for an hour on the couch, his sleep was rapidly interrupted. The hospital called him because his wife Andrea had inquired about him.

Doctor Calling
Her Reasons
Henry inquired whether he should be concerned, but the doctor assured him that nothing was wrong. Andrea has her reason for doing so…

Her Reasons
Clever Andrea
Andrea had also heard what Tommy said as he greeted his baby sister, and she wanted to be certain that she could put Henry’s worries to rest.

Clever Andrea
A Plan
The first move was to call him. As crafty as she was, she had a specific strategy in mind that Henry had previously fallen for…

A Plan
How’s work, love?
Andrea began her enchantment of Henry as soon as he entered and approached her warily. As she caressed his brow and inquired about his work, she assumed a motherly demeanor.

How’s Work, Love
Charming Henry
Henry gruffly stated that he had been unable to work due to the birth. Andrea’s response astonished him.

Charming Henry
Her secret
He returned to work rather than watch after Tommy since Andrea convinced him it was more important. She went on to say that the city council couldn’t function without him because he was such a wonderful politician.

Her Secret
Hearing one thing
But Henry only heard one thing: Andrea didn’t want him to spend time with Tommy because she didn’t want her secret to be uncovered!

Hearing one thing
Playing along
But Henry went along with it. He said, without looking at her, that he would be returning to work shortly and that she was correct. Andrea appeared content as if she had everything under control.

Playing Along
Heartbreaking
Henry disliked her but didn’t want to show it. His heart broke as he realized a divorce was unavoidable.

Heartbreaking
Ready to talk
Henry headed to his office to keep up appearances. He had put himself forward as the new chairman and hence had to show his face a lot.

Ready To Talk
In the office
He had, however, brought Tommy to the office and had his assistant look after him. Tommy was rested and ready to speak this time…

In The Office
Julia
Julia, Henry’s helper, was great with the kids and took him to the park to play. However, because Henry had not yet had the opportunity to warn Julia of his suspicions, Julia was unaware of anything. That would soon change, for she was capable of far more than he realized.

Julia
Faith in her
Henry had great faith in Julia’s genuineness. He knew that if he communicated his worries and suspicions, she would comprehend them without passing judgment.

Faith In Her
Unaware
Henry was unaware that Julia already knew who Andrea was and that she knew her better than he would have wanted.

Unaware
Ask him, please
Henry grabbed Julia aside as soon as she returned from the park. He didn’t tell her everything, but he did say he’d appreciate it if she asked him why he said anything “crazy” when he first saw his sister.

Ask Him, Please
A bit odd
Julia agreed right away. Henry was pleased with her participation but found it weird that she asked no further questions.

A bit odd
Gone!
Henry’s schedule for the remainder of the day was entirely booked, so he couldn’t see Tommy or Julia. He didn’t even have time for a regular lunch with Tommy, so he ate a salad at his desk. Then, in between two meetings, he took a quick look at Tommy. But Tommy and Julia had already gone somewhere else…

Gone!
To the hospital
They went to see Andrea in the hospital! Henry became enraged after reading this on a note left by Julia. This was the absolute last thing he needed! He only desired that she remain at the office with Tommy! Fortunately, good fortune would soon come his way.

To The Hospital
Calling Julia
Henry decided to phone Julia straight away and tell her to return as soon as possible; after all, they could have just left! Julia responded, but Henry only heard his voice! He soon discovered that it was a pocket chat, as Julia did frequently. Then he heard Andrea’s voice in the distance.

Calling Julia
Perfect timing
When Henry heard Andrea exclaim, “Henry must never find out! I don’t care how much you have to look after Tommy for that, make sure he doesn’t find out!” he understood enough and jumped into the car. Things were about to become interesting.

Perfect Timing
Getting angry
Henry became enraged on the way. What had he done to deserve such treatment? He had now missed a crucial meeting, which could imperil his position as chairman, all because his wife had concealed dreadful secrets from him. And what about Tommy, who unintentionally set this all in motion…

Getting Angry
Seeing Julia and Tommy
When Henry arrived at the hospital, he noticed Julia and Tommy in the lobby. Julia looked up in surprise, realizing she had pocket-dialed Henry and that he might have heard something! Henry stepped up to them, grabbed Tommy’s hand, and told Julia she could go back to the office.

Seeing Julia And Tommy
Going to Andrea
Julia objected briefly but realized she had nothing to dispute about. She kissed Tommy goodbye and left the hospital.

Going To Andrea
Helping out
Henry climbed upstairs with Tommy and gently asked him to assist him once they were at Mum. Henry was well aware that he was in for a confrontation he would rather not have had.

Helping out
Confronting Andrea
Tommy had no idea what was happening. Why did his father take him back to the hospital after he had just met his mother? And why was Julia forced to leave? But all he did was hold his father’s hand and accompany him inside.

Confronting Andrea
Feeling confused
He had no idea what was going to happen in front of his eyes.

Feeling Confused
His blood was boiling
Henry had to work hard not to let his emotions get the best of him as they strolled into the hospital. His fury was boiling from the treachery, but he had to keep his remarks quiet.

His Blood Was Boiling
Manipulation
Andrea, being the superb manipulator that she was, could easily divert the situation.

Manipulation
Faking a smile
That’s exactly what she did. Her face lit up as soon as Henry and Tommy arrived through the door. Julia had just departed, so she was shocked to see them.

Faking A Smile
Acting Fake
“Hello, Henry, what brings you here?” she remarked, opening her arms in preparation for an embrace. But Henry was not in the mood for love.

Acting Fake
Not in the mood
“Cut the act, Andrea,” he stated emphatically. Andrea smirked. “What exactly do you mean, babe?”
“I called Julia and overheard you saying to her that I’d never find out about something.” So, what are you concealing from me?!” Andrea shook her head and looked at her husband.
“Oh, Henry, you have it all wrong.”

Not In The Mood
Going With The Flow
“I was planning a surprise for you, silly,” Andrea grumbled. This caught Henry off guard. For a brief while, he wondered if he had dreamt everything. But then he recalled not to be taken in by Andrea’s harmless charades. He required further proof. Something she couldn’t talk herself out of doing.

Going With The Flow
Not the right time
So he grabbed Tommy’s arm and returned to work. He apologized to Julia for snapping at her, but only to maintain his act. She had to pretend he was expecting Andrea to surprise him. Only then will his strategy be successful. And, to his amazement, she quickly believed him.

Not The Right Time
A close eye
Henry kept a tight check on his wife and assistant for the following three days. Andrea had gone home from the hospital and was spending her days with their newborn daughter and Tommy. Henry went to work as normal, waiting for a chance to present itself. He had to capture his wife red-handed.

A Close Eye
The perfect opportunity
To Henry’s surprise, the ideal chance arose sooner than expected. He realized his car’s Bluetooth was still connected to Andrea’s phone when he got in his car to drive to work.

The Perfect Opportunity
Things were looking good
And to top it all off, she was on the phone with Julia! Henry only had to sit back and listen to the chat.

Things Were Looking Good
Listening in his car
“OK, so I’ll see you guys later this afternoon?”Andrea inquired of Julia.
“Yes, we’ll be there around noon.” Henry is in a meeting at that time, so he won’t even realize that I’ve left. Have you prepared everything?” Julia responded.
“Everything is in place and ready to go. See you later!”

Listening In His Car
A secret meeting
Henry was stunned. Why were Julia and Andrea meeting behind his back? And how come Henry wasn’t aware of this? This discussion merely prompted additional questions. But at least he knew what to do.
So he drove to work and canceled the meeting he was supposed to attend at noon so Julia wouldn’t suspect anything.

A Secret Meeting
A waiting game
Then it was just a matter of waiting. Henry was unable to concentrate on anything. His mind kept wandering as to what would happen this afternoon. Will his divorce be ruined as of today? Or was Andrea preparing a surprise? No, he reasoned. To keep himself from doubting, he kept repeating what Tommy had said in his brain.

A Waiting Game
This was it
Then it was time to go. Henry strolled over to Julia at about half past eleven and told her he had a “meeting” in his office. Julia, of course, believed him and claimed she wouldn’t let anyone in. However, at about eleven-fifty, Henry heard Julia leave. That was the end of it. This was his signal.

This Was It
Following Julia
When Henry opened the door, he observed Julia leave the office. He hastily grabbed his jacket and trailed after her. He waited until she was in her car before getting into his own. He always stayed two cars behind her so she wouldn’t notice him. And, much to his amazement, his strategy worked.

Following Julia
A quiet restaurant
She drove to a small eatery on the outskirts of town. Wow, they don’t want to be caught, Henry thought as he parked his car farther down the street. He sat in his car, watching Julia’s every move, and only stepped out when he was certain she wouldn’t notice him.

A Quiet Restaurant
A way inside
Henry exited the car and headed to the back of the restaurant. He observed Andrea’s automobile in the parking lot there. He assumed that if he walked through the front door, they would immediately know him. So he decided to look for a way in from the back.

A Way Inside
Looking through the window
However, it went straight through the kitchen, so there was. Henry looked through the glass as he circled the restaurant a second time. At this point, he observed Julia and Andrea seated side by side at the bar. They had their backs to the entry, so perhaps he wouldn’t be seen if he entered swiftly.

Looking Through The Window
Entering the restaurant
So he entered the restaurant fast. Fortunately for him, there was no bell above the door, allowing him to enter quietly. He chose a booth just far enough apart from Julia and Andrea to hear their talk. But when he placed his drink order, a third individual joined them at the table.

Entering The Restaurant
A tall man
A tall man who vaguely resembled Julia was the third person. “Dave! You made it!”Hello, sis,” shouted Julia as she stood up and gave the man a bear hug. Good to see you, he remarked, flashing a crooked smile. Sis,” Henry muttered. What on earth is happening here?

A Tall Man
Julia’s brother
Henry was even more astonished by what he said after that. “He, Andy,” Dave remarked as he kissed Andrea on the cheek. Andy?! Henry was thinking rapidly. If they don’t really know her, no one ever calls her Andy. Henry was unsure about his thoughts. He scowled as he observed the group eating and joking together.

Julia’s Brother
Leaving them behind
After a while, Julia bid everyone farewell and departed. To his amazement, it worked when he ducked down in his booth so she wouldn’t see him. But now there was just Andrea and Dave. Additionally, it appeared as though they were well acquainted. Even so, Andrea placed a hand on Dave’s knee.

Leaving Them Behind
Betrayal
Henry reached his breaking point. However, something urged him to hold off a bit longer. His perseverance paid off. Because Dave kissed Andrea fifteen minutes after Julia left. Henry’s eyes were so unbelievable. He quickly pulled out his phone and took a picture for his lawyer. Andrea wouldn’t be able to get away with this.

Betrayal
The final confrontation
Henry stood up after taking the photo and strolled casually over to Andrea. Immediately after he cleared his throat, Andrea backed away from Dave. “Henry?! She said startledly. “What are you doing here?!” “I knew something was going on as soon as I heard Tommy say something about his new baby sister.”

The Final Confrontation
Not Henry’s baby
“I’m not an idiot, Andrea. When my son says that his sister looks like ‘his other daddy,’ of course, I’ll get to the bottom of that.” Andrea was in shock. She was at a loss for words. But Dave also appeared surprised. He obviously didn’t know the child was his.

Not Henry’s Baby
Divorcing Andrea
Henry, though, was pressed for time. After leaving the restaurant, he drove directly to his attorney’s office. To be able to divorce Andrea right away, he had called a week earlier to request the divorce paperwork. As he drove home, he held the papers in his hands.

Divorcing Andrea
Taking Tommy
He signed the documents there before setting them on the kitchen counter. He then prepared his and Tommy’s luggage and departed. They would stay at the hotel until the divorce was concluded after he brought Tommy there. They returned home after that. Andrea temporarily moved in with Dave while she looked for her own place.

Taking Tommy
The End
Andrea was only permitted to see Tommy on the weekends after Henry was granted sole custody of him. Dave was thrilled to become a father, but she received nothing from the divorce. Later on, Andrea and Dave got married and had two additional kids. In the end, all four of them made wonderful co-parents after Henry eventually found love once more.

The End
