We do not know about you, but we constantly wonder about all the crazy things that famous athletes buy or build. They can pay for houses that look like it was the brainchild of Dr. Frankenstein himself. Some of these folks are not afraid to pay for things that seemingly defy logic or shell out an insane amount of money for a normal object. Considering how much money they make, it makes sense that we do not share the same spending habits. To be honest, we also get crazy ideas every now and then. The only difference would be that they can make their wildest dreams a reality!

Tom Brady – Luxurious Gulfstream G550, $50 Million

On the topic of crazy purchases made by athletes, we can start with this one. Star quarterback Tom Brady is one of the biggest stars in the NFL at the moment. The New England Patriots player decided to treat himself to the luxurious car that is his Gulfstream G550. When you make $26 million a year, you can buy stuff like this. Together with his supermodel wife Gisele Bundchen, he gets to go from one place to another in style since they have a jet of their own. It comes with a $50 million price tag. This does not compare to his assets, which are estimated to be worth $180 million.

Michael Jordan – One Private Jet, $30 Million

Can you imagine all the things you can buy if you were a billionaire athlete? CBS reported that NBA Hall of Famer and legendary basketball player Michael Jordan bought a custom jet for $30 million. The MJ-G550 is a business jet that comes with all the luxury features you will expect from something this costly. He got the airplane affixed with his signature Air Jordan mark. In 2017, he also gave it a total color makeover so that he can put the elephant print motif found on his Jordan sports equipment. Forbes reported that the baller now has a net worth of $1.9 billion, which makes him the 3rd wealthiest African-American right behind Oprah Winfrey and Robert F. Smith.

Antonio Garay – Hello Kitty Smart Car, $22.7K

Antonio Garay is a soft guy on the inside! Best known for his quirky hairdos, he has been seen cruising around in his Hello Kitty Smart Car Fortwo! Without the Hello Kitty customization, they go from $12K to $21K. He paid an extra $1.7K for the addition of the full Kitty wrap. He has since retired from playing football and now enjoys watching wrestling when he has free time. We would not be shocked to hear this about a guy who had been a state and national champion back in the ‘90s.

Mike Tyson – Three Tigers, $210K

Mike Tyson is a retired heavyweight champion who showed us that he had no qualms about making exorbitant purchases. He once brought home three white Bengal tigers, after all. They cost him $70k each! He had to pay another $200k to feed them and his animal trainer would charge him $125k to look after the beasts whenever he had to go to Las Vegas. We all know that Tyson is one fierce guy. In a 2016 documentary called Nine Legends, he talked about his time on the WWE. Sadly, he had no choice but to sell his pets a year after buying them since someone tried to sue him after getting bitten.

Floyd Mayweather – One Engagement Ring, $10 Million

Famous boxer Floyd Mayweather had been in an on-again-off-again relationship with Shantel Jackson for four years. When the two of them got engaged, the lavish man decided to spend $10 million on an engagement ring for her! Considering that he likes to spend thousands in a single night at the club and during his shopping sprees, it is not that surprising. Sadly, they split up for good not long after that. It is not known if she ended up returning the ring. Considering that the athlete has anywhere from $700 million to $1 billion to his name, we doubt that it stressed him out. His pay-per-view fight with McGregor in August 2017 aired on Showtime and fetched him more than $300 million!

A professional poker player called Antonio Esfandiari asked for2 bottles of Cristal that each cost $1.4k. The baller asked for 5 of those, while Esfandiari ordered 10. Kobe one-upped him by requesting 15! In the end, his bill went up to $21k even if he did not drink it at all. But wait until you hear how much he shelled out for the massive vehicle! It does not go for below $100k, you know. On top of that, he got it customized and added his name to the site, so the total is a mind-blowing amount of money. We hope that it would have a high resale value in the future since money can come and go really quickly. At the moment, he has a net worth of $5 million.

Allen Iverson – Jewelry, $900K

Allen Iverson had been making over $200 million when his NBA career was at its peak. After some time, he found himself out of money. It seemed like the problem was that he had been living like an NBA player when he was no longer on the court. He was playing ball in Europe and China, only earning $60k per month. However, his monthly expenses would go up to $350k! On top of that, he would go shopping at a Georgia jeweler. In 2012, it was revealed that he did not have the money to pay for these shopping sprees when he was brought to court over it. He got ordered to pay $900k for his purchases. Yikes!

At one point, this retired NFL player decided that he just had to have a fish pond at his house. Michael Vick actually paid $85k to have a custom pond built and then shelled out another $48k for the landscaping. The problem here was that he had been going through a tough time in the financial sense back then, although he continued to spend without a care in the world. In only 6 months, he spent $3.5 million and later went bankrupt. It was a good thing that he got hired to serve as an analyst on Fox NFL Kickoff for FS1 on Fox Sports back in 2017. What a relief!

Al Jefferson – One Bed, $23K

Can you just imagine how challenging it must be to look for a bed that is big enough for you when you stand at 6’10.” We are glad to hear that Al Jefferson did not have that hard of a time because he is loaded! The former Utah Jazz baller proved this when he spent $23k for a huge bed. It measured 10 feet by 12 feet! Are you aware that there are many apartments in New York City that are even smaller than that? We have no idea, however, if he brought the mattress with him when he started to play for the Xinjiang Flying Tigers of the Chinese Basketball Association during the summer of 2018.

In 2007, he allegedly flew out of Houston to Nashville on Southwest Airline. The insane part of this was that he bought tickets for 120 of the 130 seats found on the plane. He claimed that he did this since he wanted a quiet and stress-free trip. Estimates believe that he spent at least $22k for this stunt of his. On the bright side, he did get his induction into the College Football Hall of Fame in late 2019.

These vehicles also have a maximum weight capacity of 260 lbs to 270 lbs when used to carry goods. Keep in mind that the linemen weighed at least 300 lbs, so they could not use the gifts. It is the thought that counts, rights? After his time playing for the Texans, Foster joined the Miami Dolphins and stayed with them from July 2016 until he retired a couple of months later.

The restaurant then dropped its association with the athlete and then renamed it to Hom. At the moment, Aaron continues to enjoy his career without letting the incident affect him. He continues to play for the Green Bay Packers and is now in a relationship with Danica Patrick.
