The Antarctic Sunstar was one of the strangest creatures the crew discovered down there. The researchers, on the other hand, gave it a dreadful moniker. They dubbed it the Death Star, and we can see why they chose that name. Labidiaster annulus is the scientific name for the animal. It is a cousin of the ordinary starfish, yet it is a quite different organism.

For starters, the Death Star can be equipped with up to 50 weapons! It is also capable of growing to be larger than a hubcap. Whenever something comes into contact with the skin on the arms, tiny pincers close tight and suffocate the creature. The majority of the time, the unfortunate victim is a krill that happens to pass by. This isn’t even the most bizarre aspect of the Sunstar’s personality!
