Just one day after Schwarzenegger left office in 1997, the news broke that he had an affair with his former housekeeper. The affair took place in 1997. 1997 was the year that the event took place. The relationship resulted in the birth of a child, who, interestingly enough, entered the world just five days before the boy that Arnold Schwarzenegger and his wife, Maria Shriver, welcomed into the world. The child was born to a different woman.
