I’m sure we’re all well aware of just how rich celebrities tend to be. Whether they star in their own movies and TV shows or perform their music on stage in front of huge crowds, working in Hollywood can seriously pay off. Another thing that seems to have become somewhat of a trend in Hollywood is body insurance. Yes, really. In a way, it kind of makes sense to ensure what secures your livelihood, right? Well, some celebs are dependant on certain body parts to keep their paychecks rolling in, like athletes’ legs, singers’ voice, and more. All the same, the prices of these insurances are simply outrageous.
Cristiano Ronaldo, Legs – $144 million
Just about everyone knows about this world-famous soccer player. The Madrid star player has become a serious fan-favorite. He must be making some serious amounts of money to take out the insurance on his legs for a whopping $144 million. While it makes sense that he secure his source of income, it sure seems like a steep price to pay for a pair of legs.
Daniel Craig – $9.5 million
When he was filming the James Bond movies, Daniel Craig decided he wanted to do as many of his stunts as possible to keep the films authentic. As a precaution, he took out insurance for his entire body – for the price of $9.5 million. Compared to the last one, it might not seem like too much money, but $9.5 million is still a huge amount!

Seeing as David Beckham is a famous soccer player, and a successful model, it is pretty logical that he has insurance on his legs in case of injury. What doesn’t make sense, however, is the sky-high price. His legs cost $70 million! We seriously feel bad if anyone accidentally hurts his legs in any way because that will cost them so much.
Bruce Springsteen, Voice – $30 million
A legendary singer, Bruce Springsteen actually decided to ensure his voice back in the ’80s. It was a good call since today it’s worth over $30 million. In any case, we’re glad he’s keeping his incredible voice safe and sound.
Gene Simmons, Tongue – $1 million
Known as the lead of the rock and roll band, KISS, Gene Simmons has developed a signature move over the years while performing, and that is sticking his tongue out. Now, the odds of having a medical issue with the tongue is quite low, but he still opted for insurance. Not just any insurance, but one that costs $1 million.

This just might be the weirdest body part insured on this list. Tom Jones insured his chest hair for no less than $7 million. He must have been so proud of it at the time. It’s difficult to find a picture of him with a shirt on or buttoned up without showing off his chest.

Who hasn’t heard of The Rolling Stones? They made music history and are loved to this day. The lead guitarist, Keith Richards, took out an insurance policy on his hands. As it turns out, it was lucky he did because he developed arthritis later in life and even broke his hand at one point.
Heidi Klum, Legs – $2 million
The famous ex-Victoria’s Secret model has come a long way since her modeling days. Back when she was working just as a model, she took out insurance on her legs – for $2 million each. Nowadays, she’s created her own entertainment empire. Not to mention that she hosts and produces multiple TV shows!
Mariah Carey, Legs – $1 billion
No, you did not read that wrong. Mariah Carey has insured her legs for a whopping $1 billion. We’re sure you have plenty of questions, like how and why. Let us explain. In 2006, Mariah Carey took out the highest insurance policy ever known. And it wasn’t for her five-octave vocals. It was for her legs. This was after she was named the model of “Legs Of A Goddess” by Gilette in their campaign. In fact, the policy began at $35 million but was raised later on.
America Ferrera, Smile – $10 million
Believe it or not, America Ferrera has a $10 million insurance policy on her smile. The insurance was taken out by Aquafresh when she became the face of their at-home teeth whitening product. As a matter of fact, America was selected as part of a promotion to raise charity for Smiles for Success.

Back in 2007, Rihanna became the face of Venus’ “Legs of a Goddess” campaign. This instantly insured her legs for $1 million. It isn’t the most outrageous insurance policy, mainly since Rihanna is a serious performer and she does plenty of dancing while on stage. Ensuring her legs sounds pretty logical, actually.

Since his hair is so gorgeous, many shampoo companies have approached Troy Polamalu for ads and endorsements. His contractors didn’t want to lose him as he was a huge asset to the Pittsburgh Steelers. So, they simply took out a $1 million insurance policy on the player’s hair.

It’s no secret that Holly Madison’s breasts are her money makers and the source of her hefty paychecks. So it’s also not a big surprise that she chose to insure this body part for $1. She made a statement saying, “I’ve heard about people getting body parts insured and I thought, why not?, because if anything happened to my boobs, I’d be out for a few months and I’d probably be out a million dollars, “I thought I’d cover my assets.”

Jennifer Lopez, also famously recognized by the nickname J-Lo, is known for her pristine singing and acting skills, but she’s also easily identified by her famous backside. For this reason, J-Lo didn’t want to take any risks when it came to an accident. She insured this famous body part for $27 million!

Jimmy Durante has a nose that can be recognized anywhere, so it’s really not so surprising that he’d want to protect his most important feature at all costs. After all, most of the success of advertising campaigns that he was part of, depended on his famous nose. For this reason, he decided to insure his nose for a cool $50,000.

This shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone. All of the Kardashian sisters, but most iconically Kim, are known for their bum. This is Kim’s most identifiable body part and, let’s be honest, one of the biggest reasons why she’s so famous, so it’s not shocking that she wants to protect her body.

Singer Kylie Minogue claims that her backside is an essential part of her on-stage performances, alas, she has ensured the body part for $5 million. She said that since this body part is such an important part of her singing performance, she didn’t want to take any risks.

In the 1940s when Bette Davis’ career was really at its peak, she insured her waist, yes, her waist, for $28,000. In today’s money, that worth would be the equivalent of $500,000! She did this in case she lost her job in the event of a weight gain or loss of shapeliness, but in today’s society, she’d surely get more than a $500,000 payout if she was fired over her body shape.

Nicki Minaj is one of those people that you either love or know nothing about when it comes to her music, but when it comes to her bum, it’s pretty rare for someone to not recognize her from a photo. This one definitely tops the list as most unique… and least likely to happen. This famous actress insured not a specific body part, but actually, her entire body, for $25 million! She didn’t do this in case of injury, but rather, in case she got abducted by an alien. We just have one question: if you get abducted by an alien, how do you go about receiving that insurance payout?
